Between Peter Browne, the provider of Divisible Dash ("we", "us"), and you, the teacher or staff member accepting these Terms, acting for your school ("your school"). You accept these Terms when you create a teacher account. The Data Processing Agreement covers the roster feature only, and you accept it separately, by ticking the authorisation box on the Roster tab before you enter any pupil names.
Divisible Dash is a maths game. Pupils play with an anonymous account and a made-up name; the app never asks a pupil for any personal detail. The teacher dashboard lets you create a class, print a join code, see who has joined, view your class leaderboard, and optionally enter a class list of pupil names so the leaderboard shows real names to you only. These Terms govern that roster feature.
You confirm that your school has authorised you to enter pupil names and to provide them to us to process on your school's behalf. You will enter, per pupil, a first name and a single last initial only (for example "John S"). You will not enter surnames, dates of birth, contact details, or any other personal data. If you are not authorised by your school, do not enter any pupil names.
Your school is the data controller for the roster names. We are the data processor and handle them only on your school's instructions, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement.
Real names you enter are visible only to you, the teacher who owns the class. They are never shown to pupils or to other teachers, and never appear on any shared or public leaderboard. All shared leaderboards show the made-up names only.
You can delete a roster name, a class, or your whole teacher account from the dashboard at any time. Deleting a class or account deletes the roster names in it. We will also delete roster names on your written request.
Divisible Dash and the dashboard are provided as they are, with no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable to you or your school for any loss or damage arising from the use of Divisible Dash or these Terms, including any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. You are responsible for having your school's authority for the names you enter, and for entering only a first name and a last initial.
Divisible Dash is used worldwide. Pupils play anonymously, so the app collects no personal data from them wherever they are. For the roster feature, you confirm you may lawfully provide the pupil names under the law of your own country, and we handle them to UK and EU data protection (GDPR) standards for every school, wherever it is, as a strong common baseline. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, so you keep any rights you have under your local law.
